In Dome, Madina, and Kaneshie, collectors walk for hours carrying sacks of plastic, often selling to middlemen who underpay them on the spot. They are the backbone of Ghana's recycling economy — and until now, the least protected part of it.
We provide fair pay, personal protective equipment (PPE), collection bags, safety training, and enrollment in Ghana's National Health Insurance Scheme. We believe collecting plastic should be a respected profession — not a survival tactic.
By paying collectors directly at a published rate — with no middlemen skimming a cut — we're building a recycling system people can trust, and jobs people can be proud of.
